Description
Flemish Beauty is a historic Belgian pear introduced in the early eighteenth century. This vigorous European pear (Pyrus communis) produces generous crops of medium to large, round fruit with yellow skin and a red blush.
The flesh is sweet and juicy, suited to fresh eating or drying. Fruit ripens in September. Flemish Beauty is generally self fertile and can also pollinate other compatible pears, but it is susceptible to fire blight.
