Description
Hedge Cotoneaster is a cold hardy shrub with a dense, upright habit. Its glossy dark green leaves turn red and orange in fall. Small pink to white flowers are followed by black berries that persist into winter and feed birds. Plants tolerate regular pruning and can be grown as a formal hedge or natural screen.
Cotoneaster can also serve as a long lived dwarfing rootstock for compatible pears, an uncommon combination popularized in Russia.
