Description
Parkland was developed at the Morden Research and Development Centre in Manitoba and released in 1979. It is a cold hardy prairie apple that has also been grown successfully in Alaska.
The apples are 6 to 7 cm across, with green skin covered by a red blush over about 40 percent of the surface. The flesh is crisp and tart. Fruit ripens from mid to late August and is used fresh or for preserves and jam.
