Description
Egyptian Walking Onion (Allium × proliferum) is a perennial onion that returns each year. Clumps produce upright hollow leaves that can be harvested like green onions through the season.
Clusters of small bulbils form at the tops of the stalks instead of flowers. When a stalk bends to the ground, the bulbils can root and establish the next clump, allowing the patch to spread gradually.
