Description
Latin name – Chrysophyllum oliviforme
Native Satinleaf Tree is a mid- or over-story evergreen tree that’s drought and salt-tolerant. Reminiscent of its fruiting cousin, the Star Apple, Satinleaf Tree sports the same slow growth habit and unique dual-tone foliage.
The wide spread makes this a wise a choice for a shade tree or garden centerpiece. Small purple-black fruits are sweet, edible, and heartily enjoyed by wildlife.
