Description

Rosybrook Applecrab was developed at the Alberta Horticulture Research Centre in Brooks from a 1969 cross of Trail and Rescue, and introduced in 1980. Round fruit measures about 4 to 5 cm (1 1/2 to 2 inches), with pale yellow green skin largely covered by rosy red. The white flesh is finely textured, crisp, and mildly sweet.

Rosybrook ripens from early to mid September and is used for fresh eating, cooking, canning, and juice. Fruit can keep for about 9 to 12 weeks under suitable storage conditions.
