Description
Redwell apple was introduced by the University of Minnesota in 1946 from a cross of Wealthy with an Alexander seedling. Its breeding background also includes the Minnesota apple Scott Winter. The cultivar is productive and known as a reliable bearer.
Large fruit has red over yellow skin, cream coloured flesh, and a mild flavour. Apples ripen in October and can keep until January in suitable cold storage.
