Description
Red Elderberry plants were propagated from seedlings selected for finely divided foliage. They are probably descendants of Lemony Lace, but they are not a named cultivar.
The shrubs produce red berries used by wildlife; the cooked fruit is also used by some people. They have a spreading habit, and nursery plants cut back to the ground have regrown 6 to 8 feet in one season.
