Purple Russian is a Ukrainian heirloom tomato with elongated plum shaped fruit that ripens deep purplish red. The fruit weighs about 6 oz and has smooth, meaty flesh, few seeds, and a rich sweet flavour with low acidity.
It is well suited to fresh eating, sauce, and salsa.
