Description
Variegated Fragrant Solomon’s Seal is a shade lovingherbaceous perennial with gracefully arching stems. Showy light green veined foliage edged with white emerge on red stems and turn yellow in fall. Sweetly fragrant clusters of small bell-shaped white flowers dangle from the leave axils in spring are followed by blue-black fruit seeds. Best grown in part shade and rich moist well-drained soils. Tolerates both wet and dry soils. Unlike the native species, Fragrant Solomon’s Seal may cause discomfort if eaten.
