Description
Plum scion wood is dormant growth from named cultivars for grafting onto compatible plum rootstock or established plum trees. American plum seedlings and Myrobalan plum are common rootstocks. At Oak Summit, plums are also grafted onto Mustang Cherry while other combinations are evaluated.
Each scion is about 8 inches long and 1/4 to 3/8 inch in diameter, with the cut ends sealed in beeswax. The product options provide the current cultivar selection.
