Hosta Shadowland® ‘Empress Wu’ has huge, dark green, deeply veined foliage of good substance. Leaves can measure more than 1 1/2 feet long and wide. Has a strong, upright habit that forms a tall and wide clump. In early to mid summer pale reddish-violet flowers appear just above the foliage. Superb variety that makes a great conversation piece in the garden! Named for the only female emperor in the history of China. Voted one of the top ten Hosta varieties in an American Hosta Society poll.
