Description
Green Zebra, bred by Tom Wagner in the 1980s, ripens to bright green with lime-yellow stripes and a tangy, citrus snap. Fruits are salad size, 3–4 oz, well suited to slicing into tacos or roasting whole.
The color stays even when ripe, so trust the soft feel and yellowing stripes. Firm texture makes it ideal for salsa fresca. Stake like any indeterminate and keep moisture even. Use the fruit fresh, roasted, sauced, canned, or eaten warm from the vine, depending on the variety.
