Description
Gentiana acaulis grows and flowers best in partial sun or light shade, protected from hot afternoon sun. It requires a good and evenly moist soil that is free-draining and does not waterlog. It will benefit from regular to occasional watering during dry weather.
It usually performs best in the rock garden, where the roots can stay cool and moist. It will slowly make a mat of around 30cm (12ins wide).
