Description
Garden Sage (Salvia officinalis) is a woody Mediterranean herb with aromatic, velvety grey leaves used in cooking. It has been cultivated since at least Roman times.
Plants form compact clumps and produce lavender to blue flower spikes in late spring. Sage is perennial in Zone 4 and can be grown as an annual in colder areas.
