Description
Ambrosia originated as a chance seedling in the Mennell family orchard near Cawston, British Columbia, in the early 1990s and was introduced commercially in the mid 1990s. Large, conical fruit has a bright pink red blush over a yellow background.
The fine, crisp flesh is sweet, low in acidity, slow to brown after cutting, and keeps well in storage. Fruit ripens in mid to late October, and the tree is a productive spur bearer with naturally low russet.
