Description
Leikora Sea Buckthorn is a female German cultivar that produces abundant orange berries from late summer into early fall. The tart fruit is used for juice, jam, and preserves, and harvesting after the first frost can reduce its acidity.
Leikora needs a male sea buckthorn nearby for fruit set. Pollmix, Silver Star, or a male seedling can provide pollen. The thorny shrubs tolerate drought, salt, and poor soil once established.
