Monardella macrantha ‘Marian Sampson’
A beautiful selection of a southern California native wildflower, with bright red flowers that are adored by hummingbirds. Forms a low mat of shiny, evergreen leaves. Happily grows in lean, dry soil and is perfect for tucking between rocks. An easy-care, drought tolerant option for wildlife gardens and xeric landscapes. The compact size is also wonderful for containers. More resistant to rust than other wild varieties.LIGHT: Full sun, Partial sunWATER: Once established, water if very dry.SIZE: Reaches 3 to 4 in. tall, 6 to 8 in. wide.
