Description
Riverbank Grape (Vitis riparia) seed was wild collected in Montana. Montana plant records list it as the state’s only native grape, so this seed is identified as likely Vitis riparia.
The long lived vines produce small dark blue edible fruit, about one quarter to one half inch across. The fruit is much smaller than table grapes and provides food for wildlife.
