Ponderosa Pine (Pinus ponderosa) is a tall conifer native to western North America. Mature trees are recognized by their thick orange bark, long needles, and cones with sharp points on the scales.
This seed was collected at a Manitoba arboretum from large, healthy trees growing in Zone 3.
