Description
Persian Basil has jagged green leaves with purple markings and a complex peppery flavour with anise, oregano, lemon, and spice notes. The aromatic leaves are used with fish, bread, cheese, salads, sandwiches, and dishes from Middle Eastern and Asian cuisines.
Plants grow 18 to 24 inches tall and 12 to 18 inches wide. They flower later than many basil varieties, which extends the harvest of tender leaves.
