Description
Opalka is a long red paste tomato from Poland that entered the North American seed trade through Polish American seed keepers. The slender slightly curved fruit reaches 5 to 6 inches and has dense walls, little gel, and a sweeter flavour than many Roma tomatoes.
The fruit has a relatively dry texture suited to cooking, holds a uniform shape, and tends to resist splitting.
