Description
The Boston Fern, also known as the Sword Fern, is a popular houseplant due to its low light requirements and attractive foliage. The foliage of this fern is a deep evergreen. Like other fern species, the Boston Fern is a fairly slow grower and is best planted in the fall or spring.
Thrives in low to medium indirect light. Due to its sensitive leaves, too much light can result in burnt leaves.
Prefers moist soil. Allow the water to run out the bottom of the pot, water again once the soil feels barely moist.
To keep the leaves of the plant shiny, use warm soapy water occasionally to clean the plant’s leaves.
