Description
A rare heirloom safflower brought from Italy to Wisconsin in 1889 by Lorenzo Trussoni. The 2′ plants produce orange (some yellow) flowers till a hard frost. The dried orange petals make a wonderful saffron substitute and add color to the garden. A nice cut flower too! Ht: 2′ Full sun. Annual.
