Description
Iceland poppies bring crinkled, papery blooms in soft shades of orange, yellow, cream, pink, and white, each flower held on slender stems above low foliage. They have a delicate, almost translucent look, glowing in the cool light of spring and early summer.
Often grown as cool-season annuals or short-lived perennials, Iceland poppies are especially beautiful in containers, borders, and cutting gardens where their fine stems can be appreciated up close. Plant them early, and let their silk-like petals carry the season’s first real color.
