Description
From the You and Me series, this sturdy hybrid features lacecap like flowerheads when they first start to open but as they mature the central florets also open creating a complete mophead of double pale blue florets on acidic soils. A deciduous shrub of a compact habit. Flower colours will change when grown in neutral/ alkaline soils.
Position:They perform best when given a shady, cool moist root run and a sheltered aspect. White hydrangeas stay white on all soils but all hydrangeas prefer slightly acidic soils.
Maintenance:These hydrangeas require little pruning, simply thin out old stems and remove the dead flowers to a pair of plump green buds in late spring.
