Description
Hojiso Perilla, also sold as Britton or Briton, has green upper leaf surfaces and deep purple red undersides. Its serrated red veined leaves are used as a garnish and culinary herb in Japanese and other Asian cuisines.
The flavour combines notes often compared with cinnamon, basil, anise, and citrus.
