Description
A small shrub of spreading habit, the drooping stems sport greenleaves. Masses of carmine red and rich violet flowers are produced from early summer to first frost in autumn. Requires a moist but well drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
Position:Requires a rich well drained soil with plenty of moisture during the growing season.Plant in full sun or partial shade where they can be treated as summer bedding or as a hardy shrub, in which case plant early in the season protect for the first winter with a thick mulch on surface but not directly around the stem.
Pruning: Prune hard back in spring (after the frosts have passed) to promote new growth.
