The Corkscrew Hazel is a curious and fascinating deciduous shrub. From Decemberthe naked twisted branches are covered with a mass of yellow catkins which open fully in March. Agood architectural shrub for winter and early spring interest with the added bonus that the crinkled leaves take on a butter yellow colour in autumn.it is easily grown in most soils. Remove any vigorous straight green shoots that may appear from below the graft as they appear.
