Growing in Phoenix: Add an authentic feel to your tropical paradise with coconuts! Dwarf Malayan is also called green Malayan. This variety has a thinner trunk and petiole than Maypan. When referring to dwarf in coconut trees it does not refer to the overall size of the mature tree. A dwarf variety produces sooner than regular varieties. Dwarf Malayan will start producing when there are approximately 2-3ft grey wood.
Full sun plant, tolerant of salt soils. Protect young trees when colder than 40℉. Established trees are cold hardy to 30℉.
Use a 30-gallon or larger container for container growing.
