Description
Chinese Viburnum (Viburnum ichangense), also called Ichang Viburnum, is an upright spreading shrub native to China. Black fruit and narrow reddish purple fall foliage give it ornamental interest. Small, slightly fragrant flower clusters appear earlier in the season.
The seed has double dormancy: roots develop during the warm phase and shoots emerge after the cold phase.
