Description

The Cheena Jackfruit is a natural hybrid between a jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) and a chempedak (Artocarpus integer). Cultivators favor this variety for its open, low-spreading canopy. The fruit is famed for its intense, earthy, tropical aroma and soft, pudding-like, deep-orange flesh that melts in your hands. Because it contains very little sticky latex, it can easily be pulled apart by hand without the mess typically associated with traditional jackfruits.
