Description
Brodtorp is a Scandinavian black currant valued for its mild dessert flavour. The small black berries ripen early, have less of the musky character found in many currants, and are good fresh or in jam made with less sugar.
The vigorous spreading shrubs have good tolerance to powdery mildew and leaf spot.
