Description
Ben Hope is a vigorous upright black currant developed by the Scottish Crop Research Institute from Westra and a complex hybrid. It produces high yields of medium berries with traditional black currant flavour and aroma.
The fruit ripens late in the season, typically from late July into early August. Ben Hope is noted for resistance to big bud mite, powdery mildew, and leaf spot.
