Description
American Mountain Ash (Sorbus americana) is a native small to medium tree with bright orange red fruit that persists into fall and feeds birds. Seedlings will vary naturally in form and fruit display.
The species grows from Newfoundland west into Manitoba. Compound foliage and clusters of white spring flowers add ornamental interest to cold landscapes and woodland edges.
