Potato mint is a perennial herb in the mint family. It is grown for its edible tubers and fragrant greens. The tubers are like small potatoes and can be cooked and eaten just the same. Pollinators are attracted to the plant’s fall flowers. It also has antibacterial and anti inflammatory properties. Plant in partial shade, in well draining soil. Allow at least 6 months before harvesting the tubers.
