ORCHID LIPARIS GROSSA-Multiple Orange Blooms on Long Spikes Tropical Z 9+
We grow and sell these in various sizes during the year: Plugs, Lg Plugs, 2″ pot,4″ pot, 6″ pot.
- Bright filtered light with good ventilation
- Tribe Malaxideae which consists of Malaxis, Liparis, and Oberonia similar to Cattleya Alliance
- Terrestrial or Epithyte species most species living high in tree branches
- Found in the tropical parts of the Eastern Himalayas, Southern China, Assam, Vietnam, and the Phillipines
- Grow in moist but not wet media of small bark, perlite, and sand
- Blooms in Fall, a long spike with multiple beautiful orange clusters of blooms
- Mounts well on slab
- Grows 2-12″ or so in height, but quickly grows “pups” in an ever widening bulb group
- Treat as an Oncidium type Orchid
- Tropical Zone 9+
