Although its physical structure is sedimentary, rather than volcanic in origin, Nature’s Creation® Tejas GreenSand is very porous with great moisture holding capacity and remains friable without compacting. Millions of tons of greensand have been mined and spread since the 19th Century. It is an excellent soil amendment. It reduces soil compaction in clay soils and adds moisture and nutrient retention to sandy soils.
