‘Tojen’ is one of the earliest flowering Toad Lilies. An excellent choice for its beautiful, unspotted, orchid-like blooms that are white and tinged with purple on the ends; flowers in clusters on the tips of the stems. The leaves are some of the largest of the Toad Lilies, and are lance-shaped and arching, with a ladder-like arrangement. Grows in slowly spreading clumps, but won’t become invasive. Great late-flowering plant for shady areas, and highly rated by the Chicago Botanic Garden. Toad Lilies are a staff favorite here!
