Description
Amur Grape (Vitis amurensis) is native to the Amur River region of Russia, China, and Korea. It produces medium dark blue to black grapes with tart flavour and relatively high sugar for a wild grape. The fruit is used for cold climate wine, preserves, and fresh eating.
Large deeply lobed leaves turn red, orange, and yellow in fall. Compared with the native Riverbank Grape, Vitis riparia, Amur Grape is generally more ornamental and better suited to winemaking.
